課程概述 |
This course prepares students to (1) develop a variety of reading skills and strategies; (2) cultivate students’ ability to read critically and analytically; (3) develop students’ ability in paragraph writing. The topics will cover a wide range of disciplines, such as sociologies, humanities, as well as technologies. All is prepared to stimulate students’ interests in learning about current issues related to education, society, and culture. |

課程目標 |
By the end of this course, students will be able to sharpen their critical inquiry skills in reading. Through discussing with the instructor and their peers about current issues related to society, education, and life, students will not only broaden their cultural perspectives on different topics, but also acquire analytical tools needed for examining issues beyond the textbook. In the process of reading and thinking, students will also practice their speaking and writing skills in order to complete various assignments inside and outside of the classroom. |
